I am making a cake on the weekend, and want to use the ball pan (which I have never used before). I want to put it on top of another cake, is there something I need to do to stack it properly?

also, what is the best way to cover the ball shaped cake in fondant?

thanks!!

You can stack the ball cake just as you would any tiered cake using supports. As far as covering with fondant, just work your way around and down, about 2-3" at a time, lifting out pleats as you go. If you cut your fondant big enough to have some extra room to play, it really isn't too hard to work with.

Hi, i find that mixing a little candy clay into my fondant , helps me to cover a ball shape cake. It gives it more elasticity. This is just opiniion.
