I am fairly new at baking wedding cakes. I will be baking a cake for my granddaughters wedding in March. She has requested I use a mirror to put the cake on. I know I would have to use something for support to put the mirror on but I am not sure how safe this would be. Any suggestions or opinions?

I would just make sure the mirror is flat and on a strong support board. No bend to it at all or it might crack under the weight. If done right, it will look beautiful..

Be careful what adhesive you use. I used a tube of construction adhesive and the smell and an odd taste leached through the mirror. I had to throw out everything (including all the cake) and start over.
