I used to teach decorating and sell cakes but have been out of the loop. Have some free time on my hands and love to browse gorgeous cakes!

Nick Lodge is another favorite. They have totally different styles but their work is amazing.

I like Bronwyn Webber and the Cake girls. But I also like the stuff the Cake Boss team does.

Mike McCarey; his cakes are, well, amazing icon_smile.gif

Also, Ron Ben-Israel make the most impressive, realistic gp flowers.

Mike McCarey. I notice they never have him on Challenge anymore. Does he win too often, or is he too busy to be able to do it?

That reminds me, they used to have an audience when I've seen him compete, but I can't remember the last time they had an audience.

Off the beaten trail a bit, but I love CakeJournal.com's Louise Winther Dueholm. The confections on her blog are so dainty, cute, clean and modern that I love them.

Let's see, who are my faves... Scott Woolley, Alan Dunn, Jacques Fine Pastries, Carol Lowe, Gary Silverthorn, Michaelle Stidham, Jennifer Dontz, Rebecca Sutterby, Sugarshack, the gal in Russia (don't know her name) http://www.artcake.ru/cakes.htm ... who else... Caketress, the Cake Girls, Eddie Spence, Peggy Porschen, Boonenati, Kate Venter...

You know, it's so darned hard to pick "just one or two" -- there is so much incredible talent in so many areas of the sugar arts. Even among those who do the same kinds of work, for example Scott Woolley, Alan Dunn and Jennifer Dontz -- they're each unique in their own right.

Yep, it's definitely like M & Ms, you can't have just one! icon_lol.gif

Yes, she's here. She uses Lori_hutchcakes, but I thought I would put in her website and gallery, since she doesn't have any photos here in CC.

nth-ing Mike McCarey here...I was already sold on him but then I got his car cakes DVD and his skills just make my jaw drop. I watched the whole video saying "There's NO WAY I'm going to be able to pull this off," but then, sure enough, his instructions got me through it just fine. Smoothest process of making cake I've ever had, the guy really knows his stuff!

I wish he'd put out more DVDs. I would buy every single one I could get my hands on.

Aww thanks!! Kinda surprised but thanks. I also heart Marina - and I'm sure you'll love the episode we'll both be in. That's all I can say for now and I have no idea when it airs but I know you guys in the states will see it first (takes months after for it comes to Canada).

Mike McCarey! Mike McCarey! I love him...I keep telling my husband I would leave him for Mike McCarey in a heart beat.

I also love the lady who did my wedding cake, www.cakesfromcabinridge.com
She's incredible, although her name is currently escaping me.
