Whipped Choc. Ganache

I was planning on filling a cake with whipped choc. ganache & was wondering if the cake needed to be kept in the fridge overnight? Will leaving the cake @ room temp. make the filling "deflate" or runny? It will be sitting out over 1-2 days.
