Hi all! I think this may be my first post! I've got a few pics of cakes up, but I am more of a reader than chatter here! icon_smile.gif

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas for a simple horse carousel cake? my little one is turning 3, and has been asking for this cake for 6 months now! the only issue is it's just going to be me & my littles (7, 5, 3, & 1). my dh is deployed, and we are far from family, so we aren't doing a big party. I still want to give her the cake of her dreams, but I don't want to be eating it for a month! I'd prefer not to spend a ton as well. I have 1/2 a tub of duff's white buttercream flavored fondant, and lots of wilton icing colors ....

any ideas? icon_smile.gif

thanks so much!

welcome to CC, i am usally a reader too, but i was looking at the carousel cakes today myself. if you wanted to do a smaller cake you could do a 5 or 6 inch cake for the center. rolled out fondant for the platform under the cake and use RKT covered in fondant to make the crown of the carousel. hope that helps!!!!
