I have been baking for years and all my family and friends say I should start a bakery and I think I am ready but don't have a clue where to start. I live in NC so I know they allow it. Also need advice or information on how to find a commerical kitchen to rent as well. I figure that might be easier but not sure. Any and all suggestions are welcome and thank you for responding, I really do appreicate it.

The link below should help you start your home-based business:

You can certainly start looking for a commercial kitchen rental, but I would stick to your home kitchen (assuming you pass inspection) until you get a decent client base. You'll also want to put together a multi-phase business plan and get your pricing in order before you start.
