Hi Everyone

I have been asked to design a cake based on the gorgeous Marilyn Monroe and haven't got a clue where to start on this one. Unusual for me as I am quite good at offbeat ideas but this has me beaten.

Can any of you lovely people help at all?

I would be extremely grateful for any ideas you may have.

Many thanks and Happy New Year.

I just visited our Art Museum where they have an Andy Warhol exhibit on and he did something different with a Marilyn Monroe "portrait". It's kind of cartoonish, which to me means no one can tell if its not perfect! LOL!

What about the "Diamonds are a girls best friend" theme?

You could make a shiny "satin" pink cake with the large bow in the back and then drape it in diamonds. If you want to get cartoony you could add a few gumpaste figures of her and the men around her

Here is a link for Marilyn in the dress, but also think of madonna in material girl.
