How To Pipe End Of Rose Nicely ?

I'm new to decorating cupcakes and I absolutely adore the rose design produced by swirling the Wilton 1M tip. However, I can't seem to pipe the tail of the rose nicely. It either breaks off, and/or doesn't taper to a small tip. I use IMBC for the icing. Can someone share some tips (no pun intended!) with me ? Thank you!

When making BC roses I like to twist downward at the end so the end of the rose essentially folds into the base. It creates a tapered end and you avoid ragged edges. hope this made sense, sometimes its hard to desribe things that you just do automatically.
