I have not had very much luck with sugar cookies each year. I would like to find one that does not taste like flour and puffs up a little bitthat is delicately crispy and buttery. Where do I find one like that ? And an icing recipe I can pipe on for decorating all I have tred thus far are to soft and cannot pipe on. I have searched for a recipe and have had NO LUCK maybe you can help me. Thank YOU Sheila icon_sad.gif

The no fail sugar cookie recipe is very popular, I personally use peggy porschens (think it's on here/google). Have a play and add more flavouring to it! Sugar cookies are quite bland really, it's the icing that makes them.
Icing wise, any glacé or royal icing (lots on here use tobas glacé or antonia 74 ri) will do, maybe just add more ps to thicken it up. Some people also use buttercream, rolled bc or fondant. And of course, chocolate!
Have a look at sweetopias blog too, sure she has posted recipes too.
