Hey all wondering about modeling chocolate...do you personally buy it or make it? Wondered what was more popular. I have a recipe to make it, but never have or even used it. I know you can purchase it pre-made as well...just wondering what is the better route in using it. This will be my first time using it...so just a thought

I've used it a few times and just made it. I take a bag of white chocolate chips and add 1/4 cup of karo syrup. Heat it 20 seconds at a time in the microwave until the chips melt. Then I wear gloves and pick up the ball of chocolate and squeeze it until all of the oil comes out of it (there will be quite a bit). After the oil is released it will become the consistency that you can use to model with it.

I've never checked on it but I've heard that pre-packaged modeling chocolate is very expense.
