I want to make a small amt of batter!! I would like to make 4-5 kinds of cupcakes but with all the recipes I can make 24-28 cupcake from ONE batter, but if I try to double or cut recipes in half they don't come out right for some reason!!

Question: How do I make smaller amts of batter to make multi kinds of cake flavors!??

TIA

try a victoria sponge recipe - it easily halves, doubles quarter. just add a bit of cocoa, flavouring, juice, whatever.
what recipes have you tried?

I have heard people say on here, that they have frozen extra cake batter in a airtight bag. To use the next time they need it.
