Hello. I wanted to try this candy cupcake liner from candy melts. I saw a tutorial online and it looks easy enough. My only question is, is it really fragile? I mean when I put the cake in will it fall apart easily? Also.. how think of a coat of chocolate do I need.

You'll get the best answers by trying it yourself. You'll learn from trial and error how thick or thin the chocolate should be. And you'll see firsthand how fragile or sturdy the cups really are.

saluna, when i made mine, i used candy melts and it took like 1 full bag melted. i coated the pan, put it in the freezer for a few min to set, and then coated it again. since u have to trim the cake to fit in the bottom anyway, i made it thick enough to hold without putting supports in it. held up well, for party and set up and cutting. when u cut make sure u have a hot knife to cut, or it will break into pieces when u cut it. HTH!
