So I have some extra cake and I dont want to turn it into cake balls but Im at a loss for inspiration.
I have two 6" rounds and a cake in the shape of the top of a mushroom. I baked a cake in the wondermold for a barbie cake but I didnt have enough batter so it wasnt enough to make the barbie cake .... now im stuck with all this extra cake and nothing to make from it.
I have a christmas party at my house friday so I can serve something but all I can think to make is a giant mushroom and thats not really christmas related.
Ideas???
Perhaps something here will help...

I went to Denmark a few years ago, and they had a lot Xmas mushrooms with gnome figures. The mushrooms were usually houses for the gnomes. If your mushroom top is big enough, make it the roof of a mushroom house, with the 6" rounds as the house itself...if that makes any sense at all. Put Xmas gnomes around it and decorate it for Xmas.
If you need more cake, you could put the mushroom house on top of a larger cake and build the scene on it.
I don't know why I can't attach a pic, but it's a nativity scene. PM me if you want the attachment.
