I bought the wilton edible markers and used the black one to draw on fondant. It did not matter what color I used as my fondant, the black turned GREEN. Did this happen to anyone? I used Mccall's fondant (I live in the Toronto area).

Did you let your fondant dry before using your marker? I've never had mine change color and I use the black all the time, but the fondant/gumpaste has to dry and setup before I use them.

I have the Wilton ones and hate them!! My black one barely worked, so I can't say for sure if it would have turned color. I bought the KopyKake ones and they weren't much better.....half were dried out.
I recently purchased the black Americolor ones and they are fabulous!

I think I've tried them all icon_eek.gif I threw away the Wilton and Betty Crocker brands......

I use the Americolor for wider lines, the fine point of the KopyKake for, well, fine lines, and I also have Foodoodlers (sp) and I like those because their colors a bit different than the other 2.

I originally got some off of Ebay and then found some in kitchen store at an outlet mall. I'm sure if you google it, they'll come up somewhere.
