First off sorry my spelling is not great this time of night.
I have tried the royal icing several times for my cookies and it seems way to thick. A lot of the cookies on here look like the icing is poured on perfectly or painted on? How is this done? I am trying to make Birhtday cookies for my kids parties they are both December babies...
Thanks for any help or advice you can give me.
Make the outline on the cookie with a thick royal icing. Let that dry and then "flood" the inside with a watered down royal icing.
I'm no expert, but as mrscunningham said, your outline should be thick. Your "flooding" icing should be the consistency that when you drop a line of icing into your bowl, count to 5. After the count to "5" the line should have disappeared into the other icing in bowl. Hope that makes sense to you. Good Luck!
