Hi Everyone,

Well the inevitable has been coming..I am 42 and starting the change of life. Both my Mom and Grandma were this age and younger when they began menopause. My question is this...I am still on BC pills as hubby won't go get fixed..(Don't get me started ..that is a whole other issue...)

Can I go on hormone therapy like Premarin and still be on BC pills??

This might be something to discuss with your health care provider, as Hormone Replacement Therapy has its own set of advantages and health risks. (And a complete personal and family medical history is needed to help assess the benefit/risk ratio.)

I highly doubt it (you would be doubling up on hormones), but yes, it would be better to ask your doctor.

Also, you don't need to have HRT just because you are going through menopause, unless your symptoms are hard to live with.

Fun fact for the day: Pregnant mares urine icon_wink.gif .
