I'm not sure if this has been asked before but, can you use any of the cricut machines to decorate cakes eg, Expression , mini. or does it have to be the cricut cakes machine

you can, technically, but they are not food safe.

I think you can buy the food safe mat and the blade to make it food safe.

Just got back from Michaels. Talked to the manager and he told me that they are being discontinued but if you can find them they are being sold for $49!!! and all of the stuff is now 80% off icon_surprised.gif including the mat and blade

Michaels is discontinuing the red cake cricut and they will start carying the martha stewart cake cricut machine.

As for the $49, that is pretty low, the lowest i've hard is $99. And that's not at all michael's stores. The one closest to me is still sellingt hem for $199

i work at michaels and i am lucky enough to get one today for $49.99. Have called all the others around me and they have none. my manager called me last nite to tell me he had 2 and heard i was interested in buying one. Michaels is not going to carry them anymore. unless they carry the one the other says will be sold by martha stewart. i see it in todays paper at acmoore for $249.00 i think.
