I got a used KA & never had one before. I bought the dough hook, the paddle & the whisk. I don't know which one I'm supposed to use for what. For the cake & frosting I have been using the paddle but don't know if that is right.

You are correct, tamicat49. I use the paddle for both the cake and the frosting. I only use the whisk for whipping egg whites and I only use the paddle when I'm making dough.

Well.....I use the whisk for just about everything. haha. Never had problems with the outcome of the batter or frosting though.

I didn't know any better & I used the whisk (because that was all I had at the time) & my scale quit working when I made RI & bent my whisk all up. Had to order new ones. When I got the KA, that was all it had was the whisk so while I was at it I ordered the paddle & dough hook.
