I am so estatic! I got into the pastry program at our local community college. The program is really good and there are only 25 new openings each semester.

I know this is really lame but I think I am most excited about purchasing the chefs coat and hat. LOL

Just so excited and wanted to share. I have been trying to get in for several semesters.

Congrats and have fun! Don't forget to get some funky chef pants! They've got some crazy looking ones.

Congratulations! It's not "lame" to be excited its EXPECTED to be EXCITED!!! I still remember my first weeks at Culinary - exciting and scary at the same time. I loved my time at Culinary. Enjoy and "soak in" every bit of knowledge you can!

Congratulations!!!! My daughter just graduated from a 2 yr. pastry program and that was difficult to get in. Always the first program to get filled and big waiting list. Be prepared to work hard and if you can get some cake decorating classes in ahead of time it really helps. There just isn't enough time to practice piping so those that already know it are a bit ahead of the game. Be happy!!!!! Just think you can get paid for what you love to do. icon_biggrin.gif
