A while back I asked about stencils on white buttercream for a damask pattern using black buttercream. Did a practice "run" before the wedding cake is due next week and the black was starting to bleed into the white buttercream!!!!! not quite sure what I am doing wrong but if anyone has ANY thoughts or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!!!

Make sure the powdered sugar you are using for your BC is cane sugar (like C&H) - some of the other brands (like the one Target carries or the supermart brands) are beet sugar and the colors will bleed in BC. I learned this the hard way too.
