How do I get sparkly cake boards like Marina Sousa? I love them!

Looks like sanding sugar to me. You can brush your cake drum with piping gel and sprinkle with sanding sugar.

I think it's sanding sugar, too.

I use sanding sugar on my boards all the time and it's a similar look. Sometimes you can add a little disco dust to make it more sparkly icon_smile.gif

I can't seem to get my sugar to stick to the board. I use piping gel and some sugar sticks and lots doesn't. If I shake the board lots still comes off. Is that normal?

Also if I want to stick gumpaste letters on this how do I do this?
