Rice Krispie Treats kicked up a notch

I use 5 cups instead of 6 cups of cereal, so they are extra gooey, the marshmallows, butter of course and a vanilla bean!!!

Oh man, these are good!

Sounds very yummy. I will have to try that. Here is another alternative: use Golden Gram cereal instead of RCT and add in 1/2 bag of chocolate chips into the marshmallows (after they are melted) there you have it... Smore's treats!

...and another:

I use the regular Rice Krispies, butter, and marshmallows, but I also add melted white chocolate chips (add to marshmallows partway through heating) and chopped dried cherries or dried cranberries. I brought them to a holiday party for my son's high school choir, and they vanished before I could even grab one.

And if you thought I could leave well enough alone--yeah no.

So I did one madagascar and one tahitian vanilla bean in the browned butter rkt--oh my oh my oh my--it takes rkt to a whole 'nuther place. Seriously.
