Hi all!

I'm making a 3D rainbow cake and I am putting a little pot of gold at one end of the rainbow. I'm not really sure how to go about making the pot part with fondant, any suggestions???

If you have a few days for it to dry, you can mold it over a small glass bowl...just dust the bowl first with cornstarch. Then fill it with circles of fondant to be coins, painted gold. If you need something quicker, roll a ball, pinch up the top edge to be the lip of a pot, and use a small round tip to make circles on the fondant to be the gold coins, then paint with gold luster dust.

I made a pot of gold out of rkt covered with black fondant. It had a lip around the edge and I filled the top with Wilton's gold glitter and pearlized sprinkles over piping gel.

Ooooh the RKT is a good idea, I just might have to try that! Thanks!
