Hello - I have the opportunity to build my home next year and want to include space for a commercial kitchen in the floor plan aside from my residential home kitchen. I live in Oklahoma and have contacted my county health department for all the codes/requirements, but my main question to others is how much space to allow. What are the sizes of others who have this set up at their residence and can anyone give some ideas as to the general layout of their kitchen floor plans? Thanks!

Check out earlenescakes.com. She has loads of information and pictures of her kitchen they added onto their home. I am new to all of this and thirsty for all kinds of information. I just happened onto her site!

Good luck! icon_lol.gif

There is a lady in Okemos Michigan who built a small bakery in her basement. You might want to email her and ask what the square footage is and if that is enough space?
Here is her link, her name and contact info is on the website. http://www.gellocake.com/index.html
