I've tried using pink marshmallows, adding pink jello, and then coloring and still can't get a true red fondant. I do like the Fondarific fondant and I need some dark colors; black, red, and purple. I'm about to order them, but wondering if anyone has tried these colors/flavors? Grape fondant? Just doesn't sound good to me. But I guess it matters most what is underneath and how the decorating is! But just wondering. Black fondarific fondant - what would that taste like too?
We use satin ice in the cakery I work at. There is no flavor added to the colors to take away from the cake. I can't imagine throwing in an artificial grape flavor on top of some cake and filling combinations.
