I want to make a cake that has wood on it, how do I get the look of shiney wood? Thank you, Eva

I just read - to get the shiny look - You can steam your fondant. (Not sure how - but I'm looking into it!) lol

To get the wood look - I take brown fondant and white fondant and mix them by hand until it has the 'wood look' it's very easy - and as you blend the colors you will see!

Shiny look - U can use 'pam butter spray' lol

I mixed corn syrup and vodka and painted it on my wine bottle in my pictures to make it shiny. I did 50/50 and it took a while to dry next time I would do more vodka so it would dry faster but I loved the effect.
