can I add (tylose?) to premade fondant such as Satin Ice or Chocopan to make it harden up to gumpaste?

Yes and no. I add it to pre-made fondant in a pinch, but it never comes out quite as a hard as pre-made gumpaste. So it depends how much of a rush you're in or how hard you need it to solidify.
