I want to try this method but am interested to know if I'm better off using wax paper or parchment? Thanks

I have never tried parchment paper, so I can't compare the two, but I use wax paper all the time and as long as the transfer is thick enough and frozen well enough, I have no problem removing the transfer from the wax paper.

Ditto. Everything I've come across re: FBCTs recommends wax paper.

wax is much easier to see through to the image below. Much more difficult with parchment.
