You lovely fondant girls, HELP PLEASE!
I'm making Oscar the Grouch in his trash can ala 3D.
I have three, 7"X 2-1/2" layers plus I want to add a rkt Oscar on the third layer. No tiers, just layers.

Do I need some kind of support to support layer number 3?

I was going to plop Oscar's head onto a wooden dowel and insert through the 3 layers of cake.

Any help asap would be greatly appreciated!

p.s. I'm still new to fondant and it brings about the worst stress for me!

I always put two or three bubble tea straws any any cake more than 4" tall just to keep it from sliding around. I'd put them in the cake (under Oscar) about 3" apart in a triangle around the center and then a dowel through Oscar and completely through the cake for stability. Better safe than sorry.

Thanks so much, I got to this a few hours after I already completed it, but thanks. Its exactally what I did and I am very pleased (i never, ever say that) with the way this cake turned out.

Thanks again!
