What do you guys think of cake balls made with WASC cake and crushed up chocolate chip cookies? I am making a Cookie Monster Cake and thought they would be a cute little add on if I have time. Ideas? Opinions?

What kind of binder are you going to use?

I ask because CCC's have brown sugar in them, so I would think that you'd have to make a brown sugar buttercream in order to get the true flavor of the cookies, right?

I don't know how it would work out, but they sure sound great. You'll have to let us know how they turn out.

I usually don't add a binder, my scraps are usually moist enough without it. If I need some I will add some buttercream.

I like the brown sugar and chocolate chips idea too, maybe I'll give both of them a whirl.
