What is the best way to fill a cupcake? I found a few youtube videos that show different ways. In one, they just poked a tip into the center and started filling. In another, they cut a funnel shaped hole in the middle, scooped out some of the cake before filling, and then put the top back on.

whatever works best for you is the right way.

I prefer to use the bismark tip, stick it in and fill. no extra handling of the cupcake this way

I use tip#7, stick it in the cupcake, and squirt. If you hold it in your hand while you're filling it, you can feel when it is getting enough filling.

I bought a cupcake filler from bed, bath & beyond for like $3 & love it. Not only does it remove the cake part for u but u can also fill it with filling & just squirt it back in.

Thanks for all of your replies. I saw the gadget at Bed, Bath, and Beyond but it looked very wide for a cupcake. I like the apple corer idea. The width is perfect.
