Im not sure if that sounds right but most of the time my dome comes out crooked I know weird!
its like the dome goes more to the right/left not in the middle!!
I normally bake my cupcakes middle rack at 350 degrees, is the heat too high??
I was wondering if the cause might be mixing it with my kitchen aid mixer even though I put it on "2" is that too powerfull??more air bubbles??
How do I get a perfectly domed cupcake??
I'm fairly sure it's not the mixing, sounds like the oven is getting hotter on one side than the other. Have you tried a thermometer? Try and turn it down to 325 too.
Have you checked to see if your oven rack is level? Your pan isn't warped? Are you baking in an oven with a blower?
first two things that come to mind:
1) is your oven rack level?
2) are you using a convection oven? the forced air blowing around can "blow" your batter
Rotating your pan at the half-way point does wonders.
