I have some black fondant gumpaste pieces drying & they have lost there color? This has never happened before. I used black & for some reason the finish on top almost looks like a dried out dark gray? Any suggestions?

Sometimes you might just have to paint over it in black when you are assembling the cake.

You could liven them up by painting them with some black gel coloring mixed with vodka.

Would this moisten my pieces to much, & cause them to collapse?

No - once your piece is dry you will be fine, and the vodka will make it dry very quickly. icon_smile.gif
