How Can I Make Fences Or Railings

Can anyone give me some ideas or suggestions on how to make Railings or Fences, it is for going around a Horse on top of a cake??

Make them out of gumpaste and let them dry so they will hold up on their own. Is that what you are asking? If you look at my cake photos I use fences on two of my cakes... the farm cake and the garden cake. I don't know if its what you are looking for exactly...

Modeling chocolate works well for fences too......just let it harden. I like it for cakes just because it's functional but also tastes good. icon_smile.gif YUM!

Depends on whether you want it all edible. You can dip toothpicks or pretzels in RI or paint toothpicks with white food coloring (that's what I did on my boat railing). I didn't have time for the RI to dry and I had to freeze it. You can also use pastillage. I hear that works well, but I have never tried it myself. There are also choc fence molds you can buy - I saw them online. Good luck!
