Rbc - Rolled Buttercream?

Hi...can someone tell me the difference in rolled buttercream over fondant?
Need to cover NFSC bowling pins. which recipe would be best? Thanks-Gina

I use rolled buttercream for small accents, like zebra stripes and flowers. It's definitely not as sturdy as fondant. I would use the fondant, as the rbc tends to tear easily and is not as forgiving. Hope that helps.
