I ran out of my 40% vodka, so I bought some Everclear thinking it would better since it dries faster. Well, I but some of black liquid Chefmaster color in a bowl and add a little Everclear and my color turned blue and clumped. I couldn't paint with it. I ended up having to use just plain food color. Has this happened to anyone and if so, why?

Yep, it's happened to me. Not all food colors will mix with Everclear. It's trial & error.

I use Everclear all the time, but only with Americolor or Wilton, & I haven't had trouble with those. icon_smile.gif

Same here, I use americolor and no issues with it and the everclear.

I like using clear vanilla or lemon extract -smells better too!

Or just invest in some airbrush colors. icon_wink.gif

The white colors will clump up too when mixed with alcohol.
