I just use my regular buttercream recipe and substitute some Hershey's Special Dark chocolate cocoa for some of the P/S. Makes a really dark chocolate icing.

I like the Hershey's recipe from the can. Great chocolate flavor and easy to work with. Soft crust. Recipe is similar to many buttercreams, however, by melting the butter and mixing with cocoa, you get a great chocolate flavor.

and if it tastes good but needs to be darker, just add colouring!
