I was thinking of finishing my cake with some buttercream grass. Can you guys help me with a recipe for grass? Last time I tried it was to thick to come out, then it was to thin to stand up! I have attached a picture so you guys can see, if you can think of any (quick things I can do to finish it (cake or board) it would be greatly welcome! icon_biggrin.gif

Start with medium consistency BC and thin it with just a little bit of Karo syrup or piping gel; your grass should mostly stand, with just the tips turning down.

Just looked at your pic - cute cake!

I think piping the grass around the tractor, and around the green layer will be good. I'd also use the grass tip and pipe some wheat-colored BC on the board for the farm animals to stand in, that will make the white board not look so stark.

All-in-all it's a really cute cake, very clean! thumbs_up.gif
