A friend wants a cake with regular icing but wants it to be silver. Can I use silver luster dust mixed with alcohol and use my air brush? Any help would b greatly appreciated!

Probably. You run the risk of it clogging but they even make lustery type air brush colors now.

I try to steer my folks away from too much silver on the icing itself--it can seem grey and that's not pleasing to my eye for food.

And it is generally non-toxic which is something I like to use on accents rather than the icing itself.

They do make edible silver now though but I've never used it. So I don't know how it performs.
