I have recently been baking cakes and they seem to be sticking to the pan on the bottom. I use the bake easy strips from Wilton and I have used the easy cake remover in the pans. Does anyone have any suggestions? icon_cry.gif

Try parchment paper on the bottom. That's what I use and it comes out so easily!

I had the same problem, but started leaving my cakes in the oven a little longer and it has seemed to help. I also switched over to bakers grease (equal parts flour, veg. oil and crisco) and am happy with my results.

So you just cut a piece of parchment paper to fit your pan, then lay it in the bottom of the pan, then pour your batter in?

Yes, I use baker's grease as well(first) and then I cut a piece of parchment to fit whatever pan I'm using, lay it in and pour in the batter. I let it sit in the pan for awhile until I can comfortably touch the pan without buring myself. When I flip the cake out I just peel the paper off the bottom. This works great for me! HTH!

There are lots of people who seem to use parchment paper and some that use wax and I considered using them when I was having problems, but ended up like extra work and extra money wasted.

I've also read that if you leave your cakes in the pan for like longer than 10-15 minutes to cool, they can begin to stick. HTH.

I get my parchment paper from the dollar store. It's the same brand that they sell in the grocery store but $3 less! It's great!

Hi, I use the Cake release recipe that's here and the Wilton nail. I haven't had any problem. I don't use any parchment paper. Try it... You learn from using different methods. thumbs_up.gif Have a good one...
