I can't believe I made such a "rookie" mistake since I've been doing cakes for a couple of years now....I overfilled my pans and now my red velvet cake batter is spewing over like a pretty little volcano now my house smells like burnt cake
I did that the last time I made red velvet. It seemed like it rose more than my other cake batters do. I was using MacsMom's recipe.
This was a scratch version I found online....I guess I just wasn't paying attention...I won't make that mistake again. That was a mess to clean up
