Hi:

Can someone help me with the cake serving sizes for coffee and dessert in Australia. I have seen the Wilton chart, but somehow I don't think is the same here.

Thank you so much for your help

An Australian dessert portion is roughly 2.5 x 5 x 9 cm high, while a coffee portion is half the size of a dessert portion (about the size of a petit four).

Wow.. is that a common serving chart here in Australia?
I've been using the Wilton wedding chart which I find suits my party cakes well. I don't know how my family and friends would they'd react if I cut them "treat" sized slices based on that chart icon_eek.gif

I guess we traditionally had fruit cakes which are VERY rich and you wouldn't want more than a mouthful... even then I need to eat it with a cup of coffee to wash it down!

An American cake serving size is normally 1x2x4" unless you use Earlene's chart. icon_smile.gif

No idea how widely used it is but the sizes are fairly standard - for rich cakes like fruit cakes and mud cakes it is more than enough.
