Gum Paste Trouble... Help!

i'm making pink roses for a christening.. i made some of the petals & put them in a container so they wouldnt harden... when i went to use them, majority were discolored & unusable.. icon_sad.gif
whats going on? & how can i fix this? thanks..

How long were they in there? Probably have to start over.

First issue is that pinks fade quickly, unless you use ChefMaster No-Fade Pink or powdered food coloring. If you use another brand, you need to dust the petals right away so the dust protects the color a bit.

You can make the roses with the "discolored" petals and then dust them or airbrush them to the color you prefer.
