I am about to attempt my first TT cake & was hoping for a suggestion on a good recipe to use from others who have done the TT cakes. Thanks!

I use the WASC (without oil) recipe found here on cc.

i use maderia cake, but i fancy swithing to pound cake next time.

Oh, and I always freeze my cakes RIGHT out of the oven. I find it makes them dense and moist.

Thanks everyone for your replies. The WASC is always my go to cake, but I do find it is so moist that I have some trouble carving with it, however I have never tried it without the oil. I was considering using the durable recipe, so thanks for that reccomendation.
