Hello icon_smile.gif

I have an order for a gift box cake - with the big bow on top!
I have no prob with that - but I would like to give it the effect that it is an actual box with a lid...
How do I make the lid effetct? Is there a trick or do I just add more fondant ontop of the fondant cake and trim it?

Just an example:

Are there any tutorials on this style (Open box with tissue!?) Would LoVe to know! icon_smile.gif

Go into Forums and under Cake Decorating up at the tip is a folder where one lady tells how she makes her hat box. This might be able to help you out.
