How much does one stick of butter weigh? I live in Norway, and we dont have sticks of butter, only packages of minimum 500 grams. There are so many receipes I would like to make from here, but I cant, cause I dont know the ingredients.....
Also I wonder; how much is a cup? We use deciliter for fluid, and grams for flour and stuff.....
I would really appreciate answers!

a stick of butter weighs 1/4 of a pound and is 1/2 cup. In the US, butter is usually sold by the pound and each package has 4 sticks. Since a kilo is 2.2 pounds, you can do the math and come up with the conversions. (or just use a conversion chart on the internet) HTH
