Any advice on how to transport cakes? I'm not sure what the general rule is, I wanted to know if most assemble their cakes before delivery or assemble at the venue? Either way, how do u keep the cake layers from cracking/settling during the bumpy ride? Thanks!!!
Look into SPS - Single Plate System which allows you to transport the cake assembled
Whenever possible I prefer to deliver in pieces and assemble the cake on site. It keeps me from being to terribly nervous about delivery everytime I hit a pot hole or something else unexpected. I bring a small kit with me with sopatula, bags, tips, buttecream, fondant etc, in a small tackle box.
