I've made a fresh strawberry filling (like pie filling) for a torted 12-9. I originally just planned to use strawberry in one layer and whipped cream in the other 2 for each cake because I wasn't sure how slippery/gooey the filling would be.
In a torted cake, would you put the strawberry filling between 1, 2, or all 3 layers?
since its torted i would use the filling in all 3 layers, as long as you create a good damn you should be fine. good luck!
Or, wait. What do you think of having the pie filling stuff in the middle layer and then layers of whipped (actually bettercreme) with thinly sliced fresh strawberries on the other layers?
That sounds good to me......with the filling in middle and fresh on others.hmmmm
So far the fresh tastes great with the whipped cream. I haven't yet sampled with the filling.
