I need to decorate a wedding cake which basically has a trim of material lace about 3 inches High that runs around the bottom of the tier
And then I will have a .6inch trim of fondant that will run around the cake at the bottom also

So I was wondering will the fondant stick to the lace or should I lift the lace .6inch from the bottom so the fondant is sticking to the cake and not the lace?

No idea If this made any sense, I may need to post a photo if not understood icon_smile.gif

I think you're asking how to get your lace to stick to the fondant??? If so I just did a cake with lace trim on fondant. And I used a little piping gel. It's my first time doing this design so if there is other ways of doing this I'd like to know too.

I just seeked some advice personally and found out that I could probably use royal icing to stick the lace onto the fondant covered that. Then use another layer of royal icing to stick the 2nd trim of fondant onto that.
