Hi!

I have my first black forest cake order!
I have made some before - but for family and the day of....

I'm using a whipped icing and for taste wise - Will it be ok if I decorate it the day before and leave it in the fridge over night? Will it taste better after all the ingredients sit for a bit? Or should just I ice it the day of?

Has anyone ever made a BFC with buttercream? Just curious lol

Thanks so much!

Deez

I have made it the day before to let the flavors combine. I frosted with whipped cream and added two packets of Oetker WhipIt and two packets of Oetker Vanilla Sugar to my heavy whipping cream. The WhipIt is a stabilizer so your whipped cream will not melt. Wonderful stuff! Love that cake.

Thank you!

I have all my ingredients already - whipping cream and icing sugar for the icing -

Hmmm... I wonder if I added Dream Whip (powder) to it... would that help hold the shape?

Can I make the icing the night before and leave it in the fridge to use the day of?
